Process to renew expired nepali driving license
If your driving license is expired that is issued from Nepal, you need to renew it within 90 days from the date of expiry.
If you are unable to renew your driving license within a year from date of expiry, you need to pay 100% of amount as fine. Similarly, you need to pau 200%, 300%, 400% and 500% of amount as fine if you fail to renew your nepali driving license within 2, 3, 4 and 5 years respectively.
The renew will be valid for next five years.
For the renewal of driving license, original license holder must be present in the transportation office and submit an application for driving license renewal. At the time, ticket of NPR 5 must be attested.
Similarly, the person should also submit the certicate that proves him/her to be with sound health.
After filling application form, you need to register it in transportation office with needed payment amount. There, you will be updated with the date on which your license will be renewed.
If you don’t renew your license for five years after it expires, it will automatically be rejected and you need to get new driving license.

For heavy vehicle – NPR 3000
For medium vehicle – NPR 2500
For Light Vehicle – NPR 2000
For mototrcycle and scooter – NPR 1500
